Block Foam Injection Insulation

Many South Florida homes and buildings are built with concrete block walls. The hollow cores inside those blocks let heat move straight through the wall. Block foam injection, also called foam-in-place or injection foam insulation, fills those cavities with foam. Stuff and Puff Insulation Experts uses it to insulate masonry walls and foundations, including concrete block, brick and stucco.

Foam injected into concrete block wall cores

Why Insulate Concrete Block Walls

  • Hollow cores leak heat. Concrete block alone is a poor insulator, so empty cores let Miami heat through.
  • Insulates existing walls. Foam is injected into the wall cavities, so walls do not need to be torn down.
  • More comfortable rooms. Walls that stay closer to indoor temperature mean fewer hot spots near exterior walls.
  • Quieter interiors. Filled cores can also help reduce outside noise.

How Injection Foam Works

Small holes are drilled into the wall, foam is injected to fill the block cores, and the holes are patched. The exact approach depends on how the wall is built and finished, so we look at each wall before recommending it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can foam be injected into walls that are already finished?

Yes. That is the main advantage of injection foam: it insulates existing masonry walls through small access holes.

What wall types can be injected?

Concrete block, brick and stucco walls, as well as masonry foundations.

Is it only for homes?

No. It works for commercial and industrial masonry buildings too.

Insulating the attic as well? See spray foam and radiant barriers.
